The Lilburn Womans Club (LWC) recently hosted their annual - by invitation only - Christmas Dinner & Auction fundraiser where club members and their special guests were invited to participate and generously shop until they dropped for a worthy cause.
&13;LWC President Gail Zarnik welcomed the Georgia State Federation President Shari Carter and 9
District President Linda Johnson to this years event for the first time.
&13;We sincerely appreciate both of these ladies taking the time out of their busy schedules to join us here in Lilburn to help carry out our long tradition of service to the community, Zarnik said.
&13;The center tables were overflowing with elaborate gift baskets, holiday dcor, hand-made paintings and pottery created by local artists, jewelry, custom doll clothes and a wide assortment of items donated by both the club members and their guests.
&13;At a separate table, home-made cakes, cookies and holiday treats were auctioned off silently with funds being earmarked for the Lilburn Co-op located on Five Forks Trickum Road near the intersection of Rockbridge Road. The Co-Op provides food and clothing to a large number of Lilburn families in need aftercats shop they have applied and been screened by the staff.
