A CAT shot with an airgun dragged itself for two miles while a pellet was lodged in its chest before scaling a 7ft fence to seek help from its owner.
Brave Gigio, five, was left close to death after thugs fired at his head and chest, leaving him with a collapsed lung and ruptured diaphragm.
The missiles only missed the grey tabbys heart by millimetres and left it covered in blood and needing life-saving surgery.
Miraculously, Gigio found the strength to make it back to his stunned owner Marie Lucchetta, 51, who rushed him straight to vets. They operated on him for an hour.

Translator Marie believes the cruel attack must have taken place on the edge of her village, or in neighbouring fields where Gigio spends his days roaming.
Marie said: He was absolutely terrified. He is very resilient and strong-willed.
